Boston

Boston is one of the oldest cities in the United States. It is a world center for education, medicine, high technology and finance. The city has had a unique role in shaping America’s history. Boston's colleges and universities have a major impact on the city and region's economy. Not only are they major employers, but they also attract high-tech industries to the city and surrounding region. Where to go & what to see

Boston is not only the kind of American city that offers visitors’ opportunities discover history, admire art, and explore different museums. You can also shop for bargains, go for famous bars and live the real American student life.

Go and walk along the two-and-a-half-mile Freedom Trail. This is the best way to get to know Boston and to efficiently visit the city's historic landmarks. Check out the Boston Public Garden, located along Charles Street - the nation's oldest botanical garden. Be sure to visit Faneuil Hall Marketplace, a collection of shops and restaurants dating back over 250 years

And of course, lots of museums - the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, the Cahoon Museum of American Art, the Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum and the Museum of Afro-American History. The most visited one is the Museum of Science at Science Park.

For an escape to nature, take in Boston Common, one of the oldest public parks in the United States.

What to try

Tour the Sam Adams Brewery in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood for a quick look at the beer-making process and a sample of the finished product. The brewery is also home to the Boston Beer Museum.

B & G Oysters serves fresh Wellfleet oysters and other favorites like clam chowder and lobster rolls in a small, stripped-down underground space where chefs toil in an open kitchen behind a white marble raw bar.

For sushi head to Fugakyu, a short trolley ride from downtown. Guests wait for tables by a serene pool filled with stones and bamboo, and tatami rooms with sliding wooden doors, are available
